In tests conducted by two independent reputable third parties, Structural Concepts merchandisers performed the best within areas critical in the total evaluation of the overall lifespan of a fresh food merchandiser.
Since 1972, Structural Concepts has set the standard for the most innovative, turnkey refrigerated and heated food display solutions in the market by building merchandisers with the shortest industry lead times that last longer, save energy, and minimize operating costs, making it easier to better display and sell more fresh food today – and tomorrow.
From the nearby convenience store to the corner bakery to the largest grocery chain to a favorite restaurant to anywhere where fresh food is displayed and sold, we know that each of our customers is unique, with their own set of requirements.

Structural Concepts understands the increasing need for quality food choices at airports, especially with travelers seeking quick, on-the-go options. Whether rushing to catch a connecting flight or looking for a convenient bite, passengers appreciate easily accessible, high-quality meals and beverages.
Recognizing the limitations of time and space for a traditional sit-down meal at the airport, our new grab & go self-serve merchandisers, recently installed at Bozeman Yellowstone International Airport in collaboration with J&V Restaurant Supply and Design and Ignite Foodservice, offer a convenient solution for busy travelers.
Swanson-Girard & Associates, representatives for Structural Concepts, partnered with Deacon to provide Continental employees the convenience of a grab-and-go micro market.
By providing a self-monitoring, grab & go option, micro market models are ideal to drive impulse sales and capitalize on quick transactions. In late 2022, Portillo’s was searching for a refrigerated self-service merchandiser that could be integrated into a grab-n-go concept they were designing for new and existing stores. Their search led them to Structural Concepts.
Culinary Equipment Group, the Chicagoland representatives for Structural Concepts, promptly delivered a case that Portillo’s could test side-by-side against those of a couple competitors. The quality stood out immediately, in both appearance and performance. After putting the case through its paces, Structural Concepts was selected. Portillo’s facilities, purchasing, and marketing staff worked with Culinary Equipment Group to hammer out the specifications, including the case size and the laminate selection. Shortly after, the orders started rolling in and the merchandisers started shipping out.
TruStage, formerly known as CUNA Mutual Group, in Madison, WI, recently installed several self-service cases from Structural Concepts to better serve their employees. As a result, they have expanded their offerings and now can conveniently operate on a 24/7 basis. They are selling more products than before due to the easy accessibility and merchandising appeal of these displays.
The owners of Le Bon Macaron, a boutique bakery with three locations, partnered with Structural Concepts to proudly display their French macaroons, considered the most beautiful & delicious of all French desserts, bringing these true delicacies to Michigan.
“The display case was exactly what we were looking for & we were able to customize the color to meet our needs. It’s a simple design and beautifully showcases our macarons. We toured the facility last spring & we were very impressed,” said Kelly Toland, one of the shop’s co owners. “We had a very bad experience in the past with a different company who is no longer in business, or in the U.S. We’d like to purchase one for our Grand Rapids store in the near future.”
